Out of commision (hopefully not too long)
Well, I had planned to do a 12 mile run on Saturday morning with a few friends. Unfortunately, my hip is going to force me to not run until at least Sunday. I haven't run since Wednesday, and it still doesn't feel quite normal. It's only a slight pain, but I've already found out in the past that even running with a slight pain can turn something small into a big problem. So I'm going to play it safe, as much as I don't want to!
Looks like I'll have to find something else to do this weekend! Maybe I'll go out with my camera and update my photography blog that I've been neglecting lately.
Also would like to send a get well soon to my friend RedheadRunning, who is also nursing a running injury.

Good idea! When you're not training for anything in particular and you don't have a schedule to keep up with, I think more rest days is better than not. You won't lose fitness from a couple days off and you will help your body recover! Great job :D
