The plan for this aimless runner....

So after some debating.....I have decided to man up and map out a plan for a full marathon.
On the way to the full marathon, I will be running:

October 2nd: Jacksonville Marine Corps 1/2 Marathon
October 31st: Daytona Beach 1/2 Marathon

Then the full marathon:
November 28th: Space Coast Marathon

I was going to do Disney, but after reading many negative reviews about it online and also from people I know that have done it, I opted for a smaller and less stressful event.

My training plan is rather ambitious. I am going to be flexible with the hill workouts especially. If I feel I need to rest that Monday, I will skip the hills and rest. Also, the paces might be slowed up as I get into the training. The ones I have put in there are the max paces to prevent injury. Keeping pace and not going too fast is going to be hard for me at first.

Until I start, I will continue running around 20-25 miles a week to keep a solid base.

Happy weekend everyone :)

Awesome looks a whole lot like my plan :D

which is probably a good thing since my plan was developed by a professional coach. Congrats on coming up with that on your own!

Yes, I was thinking what Lauren said, that it seems like a good plan! Did you design it yourself, or roughly base it off of another one? I don't think the paces are too aggressive, I think you will find yourself getting faster and more efficient as your mileage goes up, you seem to have a lot of natural speed!

My husband ran Space Coast last year, it was great weather and I had a lot of fun being a spectator! :)

Morgan over at RedheadRunning showed me her marathon plan and I also looked at plans available online like Hal Higdon's and used that combined knowledge to build a plan I thought would work well for me. We shall see!

So excited to watch you go through the training cycle! You know where to reach me along the way to help you push through or ask me those random questions that are sure to pop up. You're going to do great and I'm sure I'll hate you for at least 30 seconds when you totally kill my first marathon time! :)

SEE YOU SATURDAY!!! YAY!!!!

P.S. I am also going to need you to commit to texting me every Saturday after your long runs to check in and tell me how you did. This is something Beth and I do and it really helps! There's nothing like a cheerleader just waiting to congratulate you at the end of every long run!
